SKIN PREPPING PRODUCTS
Great makeup starts with great skin care. So, of course, a clean palette is always important. Davy recommends starting by washing your face with a gentle cleanser like Aveeno's Positively Radiant Brightening Cleanser . Then apply a moisturizer like Embryolisse Face Cream and Makeup Primer . And in case you were wondering: Yes, you do need moisturizer! No matter what skin type you have—dry, oily, acne-prone—we all need a moisturizer, says Becker. Then always (yes, always!) follow your moisturizer with some sort of SPF. Davy likes Elta MD UV Clear . Just before application, Davy suggests adding another layer of hydration with Evian Water Facial Mist. Now that your skin is clean, hydrated, and primed, you're ready to apply your makeup kit.
Pro tip: Davy says you can also use the Evian Facial Mist to dampen sponges to avoid any chemicals like chlorine in your tap water.
CONCEALER and FOUNDATION
Since your skin tone will change from season to season, Davy recommends having a variety of foundation shades. But you don't have to break the bank by buying every shade—you can mix several shades together to get the perfect match. She suggests Makeup Forever Ultra HD . Bonus: It lasts 24 hours and comes in 50 shades.
Dark circles or blemishes? Don't worry, because a high-coverage cream concealer like Kevyn Aucoin Senusal Skin Enhancers or NARS Radiant Creamy Liquid Concealer can both create buildable coverage that looks completely naturally - without any such cake finish.
Brown,Pencel, Powder and Gel
Among the most important features on your face: Your eyebrows. Not all of us are born with perfectly groomed eyebrows, but that doesn't mean you can't have them. Becker suggests shaping your brows and filling in any bare spots with the Vegan CoverGirl Micro Fine Fill + Definine Eyebrow Pencil. Next, you can tint your brows and fill in any remaining gaps with Anastasia Powder Brow Duo. Finally, finish shaping and keeping your brows in place with NYXE yebrow Mascara in make up kit .
Eyeliner and Mascara
For starters, skip the fake lashes and go straight for the star mascara and liner combo. Both Becker and Davy swear by L'Oréal Voluminous Mascara. (Becker adds that you "can't go wrong" with this "most consistent" mascara.) For a cream eyeliner that lasts even the longest days on the Euphoria set, Davy swears by Chanel Cream Eyeliner . If you're more of a pencil person, she recommends Urban Decay 24/7 Eyeliner in pro makeup kits.
If you're looking to play around with some color — makeup a la Emmy-winning Euphoria — Davy recommends ColourPop Gel Liner Vault. Complete your look with a colored mascara like Benefit's Bad Gal Bang Mascara in Blue.
"To offset even brighter colors, try lining your upper lashes only with an electric blue, orange, or bright purple," says Davy, who's clearly no stranger to color. "I also love a brightly colored waterline, which is probably the easiest and quickest way to add a pop.
Lip balm and lipstick or lips color
When you're going for bold lips, just like you're prepping the rest of your face, you'll want to have a good foundation. Davy uses Palmer's Cocoa Butter Formula Swivel Stick. Then for a little color, Davy loves the Mac Pro Lip Palettes which have six color options in one. Becker's favorite is ColourPop's cruelty-free vegan lip sticks, which are also incredibly cheap.
Brushes, sponges and Q-tips
To apply makeup properly, you will need to use the right tools. The Beauty blender is perfect for easily blending foundation, blush, and concealer. Davy also recommends a good set of quality brushes—her favorites are the Luxie brushes. For precise eye make-up, Davy recommends the Eyeconic eye set. If you're looking for a cheaper option, Becker says the e.l.f. brushes are "great entry-level brushes." Try the Flawless Face Six Piece Brush Collection used in pro makeup kits.
For any mistakes or precision work, Davy says pointed Q-tips are a great tool to have in your makeup kit.
Blush, Bronzer and Highlighters.
Add a healthy color and subtle glow to your skin with a classic blush, bronzer and highlighter. Davy loves the Makeup Forever Ultra HD Cream Blushes followed by the very luminous Glossier Haloscope Highlighter Stick. If you're looking to keep it simple, Becker recommends The Balm Blush, Highlighter, and Bronzer Trio which has all your needs in one compact compact.
Eyes shadow Kit use in pro makeup kit.
Be sure to prime your lids before applying any shadow. Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion keeps your eyeshadow in place all day and prevents any creasing. If you're just starting out with your makeup collection, Davy says you really only need one good eyeshadow palette with lots of neutral shades. She recommends the ColourPop palette in Bare Necessities in make up kit.
Product settings
You've just spent all that time with your makeup, so you'll want it to have some lasting power. If you tend to have an oily T-zone, Davy recommends Indeed Lab's Nanoblur ($19; ulta.com). "This is a mattifying cream that can be applied over makeup with a beauty blender," says Davy. "I use it in the T-zone when actors get a little oily and shiny." If you'd rather use powder, stick with Laura Mercier Translucent Loose Setting Powder. Finish with a spritz of setting spray like Urban Decay's All Nighter Setting Spray Becker's favorite, NYX Matte Finish Setting Spray.
Above make up products are very essential mostly used in experts make up kit. Every beginners should have these products in their makeup kits.
